2016 Round-Up: Project Outcomes So Far

BBC Radio 3Work on this project is now coming to an end, and there are a few outcomes aimed at a broad audience that I want to mention here.

First, it has been central to my making of a BBC Radio 3 documentary: Freud in Asia, which was broadcast at the end of last year. You can listen again here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04p51zy

Second, if you haven’t yet read the Aeon Magazine piece featuring Kosawa’s final client, Setouchi Jakucho, it is available here: http://aeon.co/magazine/psychology/christopher-harding-psychoanalysis-buddhism/

Third, a book is now emerging out of the project, using the life and work of Kosawa Heisaku as a way into its broader themes. Provisionally entitled Japan’s Freud, the manuscript will be with publishers in late 2016, with publication anticipated in late 2017.

You can see a full list of publications, conference papers, etc, linked to the project on my publications and events pages.
